Toni Margarita Plummer is a winner of the Miguel Mármol Prize, a Mariposa Award finalist, and a Macondo Fellow. She grew up in South El Monte, California, the setting for her debut story collection. Plummer is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Master of Professional Writing Program at the University of Southern California. She has published fiction in PALABRA, Kweli, Origins Journal, and River River. She is also a contributor to the anthologies Wise Latinas: Writers on Higher Education and All About Skin: Short Fiction by Women of Color. After working at a major publisher, Plummer now freelance edits and lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband and son.
