Upcoming Event in Westchester

I’ve been invited to participate in An Evening of Literature by Latinas, hosted by 100 Hispanic Women of Westchester, on April 26th at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York.

100 Hispanic Women of Westchester is a non-profit organization  which provides scholarships to graduating Latinas who are about to enter college.  Their mission is to lead Latinas toward excellence in leadership.  They host literature events to expose the community to Latino authors.  This event will include readings, a Q & A, and book signing.  Esmeralda Santiago, Mirta Ojito, Sofia Quintero, Elisha Miranda, Carmen Boullosa, and Sandra Barron are among the authors who have participated in the past.

I’ll be reading with Dahlma Llanos Figueroa, author of Daughters of the Stone, and Linda Nieves-Powell, author of Free Style!

Check out this wonderful organization: http://100hispanicwomenofwestchester.org/

Stay tuned for more details, and for more events this spring!

Peace.

Very exciting! I am sure they will enjoy any of the stories you may pick for the reading. I checked out the web site for 100 Hispanic Women of Westchester. They seem to be a great organization.
    Enjoy the day.
