Toni Margarita Plummer is a winner of the Miguel Mármol Prize for a first work of fiction by a Latino author and the author of The Bolero of Andi Rowe, a short story collection. She grew up in South El Monte, California, the setting for the stories. Toni is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she is on the Hispanic Alumni Board, and the Master of Professional Writing Program at the University of Southern California. She is on the board of directors for Kweli Journal, an online literary journal. An editor at a major publishing house, she lives in Brooklyn.
